The team

Small on purpose.
Precise by training.

River City Aesthetics is six of us, counting the dog. You will always know who is treating you, they will always know your history, and nobody here works on commission against your face.

Michael Spagna, CRNA

Twenty years in Navy medicine. A steady hand ever since.

Michael spent twenty years in the United States Navy, first as a critical care nurse and later as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, before retiring in 2014. Anesthesia is a discipline of exact doses, calm judgment, and constant attention to the person in front of you. He runs River City Aesthetics the same way.

After the Navy, he provided anesthesia across the greater Jacksonville hospital systems, including UF Health Shands, Flagler Hospital, and Mayo Clinic, before turning that precision toward facial aesthetics. His work today centers on wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, and pigment correction, always in service of results that look natural rather than done.

He will tell you what a treatment can do, what it cannot, and what he would skip entirely. That honesty, more than anything, is what clients come back for.

Dr. Albert Yang, medical director of River City Aesthetics, seated in a white coat

Medical Director

Albert Yang, MD

A facial plastic surgeon’s eye behind every protocol.

Dr. Yang is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon known for natural-looking results and an exacting, personalized approach. As medical director, he provides the clinical oversight behind the practice, so every treatment protocol carries a surgeon’s understanding of facial anatomy and aging.

Born in California and raised in Taiwan, he earned his bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego and a master’s degree at Columbia University Medical Center before completing his Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a facial plastic surgery fellowship at Emory University, where he scored in the 91st percentile with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

His surgical specialty is the aging face, including deep plane facelifts, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty. Surgical procedures are part of his broader practice rather than the River City menu; here, his role is making sure the medicine behind your treatment is sound.

Kendall Regan, licensed esthetician and certified laser specialist, in front of the River City Aesthetics studio wall

Licensed Esthetician and Certified Laser Specialist

Kendall Regan, LE, CME

She has sat on your side of the treatment chair.

Kendall came to skincare through her own years with hormonal cystic acne. She knows what it feels like when your skin affects your confidence, and how much it matters to be treated by someone who takes it seriously rather than selling you a shelf of products.

Trained at First Coast Technical College and certified through the Electrolysis, Laser & Beauty Institute, she leads the laser side of the studio: hair removal, tattoo removal, pigment and melasma work, laser facials, and radiofrequency microneedling. Her treatment plans are built around your skin and your timeline, not a script.

Clients describe her the same way again and again: she genuinely cares, and it shows in the results.

Jessica Stites, licensed esthetician and facial specialist, in front of the River City Aesthetics studio wall

Licensed Esthetician and Facial Specialist

Jessica Stites, LE

Twenty years of clinical care, one facial at a time.

Jessica brings more than twenty years of clinical experience spanning cosmetics, dentistry, and aesthetics. She holds EFDA and radiography licenses from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and completed her esthetics training at FSCJ in 2007, and she has never stopped studying since.

At River City she is the facial specialist: HydraFacial, custom ZO facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and microneedling. Her approach is warm and unhurried. She reads your skin first, then builds the treatment, and you leave knowing exactly how to care for it at home.

Away from the studio she is happiest outdoors, working out, or with her husband and two children.

Jillian Almstead, licensed esthetician and electrologist, standing beneath the River City Aesthetics lotus logo on the studio wall

Licensed Esthetician and Licensed Electrologist

Jillian Almstead, LE, CPE

She teaches the craft, and never stops studying it.

Jillian is a licensed esthetician with four years of experience, providing everything from relaxing treatments to advanced corrective work. Skin care and skin health have been a deep interest of hers for as long as she can remember.

She is also a Licensed Electrologist (CPE), which qualifies her to provide laser hair removal. Outside the studio, she teaches the esthetician program at a local cosmetology school, passing what she knows on to the next class of students.

Jillian makes continuing education a priority, so her work stays current with the latest technologies and the science of how skin actually behaves.
